Dr. Lewis Tunnicliffe

CDr. Tunnicliffe holds a masters and PhD degree in Materials Science with a focus on rubber materials from Queen Mary University of London. He has expertise in carbon black as well as fracture, viscoelasticity, particle reinforcement and structure-property relationships of rubbers. 
Dr. Tunnicliffe was the 2022 Sparks-Thomas Prize winner from the Rubber Division, ACS and has published over 20 peer reviewed articles and 2 book chapters on rubber science and technology. He is currently R&D Director for rubber carbon blacks at Birla Carbon, based in Atlanta, GA.
